# Norwich interested in signing Malaga star Ontiveros

Norwich City are interested in signing Malaga star Javier Ontiveros this summer, according to [ESPN FC](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/blog/transfer-talk/79/post/3896200/transfer-talk-juventus-close-to-finalising-move-for-de-ligt).

The winger has previously represented Spain at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level, highlighting his pedigree.

Ontiveros, now 21, is reportedly keen on moving to the Premier League ahead of next season.

Norwich are eyeing up a move for the Spaniard, as they look to build a squad capable of surviving in the top flight.

The Canaries are not the only Premier League club linked with Ontiveros’ signature, however, with Crystal Palace seeing him as a possible replacement for Wilfried Zaha, if he leaves.

Sheffield United are also keen on the wide man, although Norwich are the rumoured front-runners to snap him up.

Ontiveros impressed at Malaga in 2018/19, as he helped them reach the Segunda Liga playoffs.

They eventually lost in the final to Deportivo La Coruna, but the youngster’s impact didn’t go unnoticed.
