# Norwich would have to pay £10m to sign Rodriguez

Norwich will have to pay £10m if they want to sign West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez this summer.

[According to The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-joao-felix-16245759) Rodriguez has a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave for £5m this summer, but it also includes a payment of £5m next summer – bringing the total to £5m.

The report claims that Norwich are on of a number of clubs showing an interest in Rodriguez, following the news of his £5m exit clause.

Leicester, Aston Villa and Sheffield United are also said to be keen on a deal for the forward as they look to strengthen their squads ahead of next season.

Rodriguez scored 22 goals for West Brom in the Championship, including two in a 4-3 win against Norwich back in August – one coming from the penalty spot.

The 29-year-old is an experienced campaigner at Premier League level, with over 140 appearances for Southampton and West Brom in the top-flight.
