Norwich are reportedly open to selling star player James Maddison in the summer, but will demand up to £30million for the talented midfielder.

Liverpool and Tottenham have been reported as being interested in recent weeks, and now MirrorSport report that Manchester City have joined fellow Premier League bigwigs in keeping an eye on the 21-year old.

The England Under-21 international has impressed this season, scoring and assisting eight and five respectively in the Championship this campaign.

The Canaries refused to sanction a sale in January, with fellow midfielder Alex Pritchard joining Huddersfield in an £11million deal.

However Maddison has already been provisionally sanctioned, providing the club receive a hefty offer as their parachute payments are due to expire this summer.

At £30million, the deal would join the £30million paid by Tottenham for Newcastle attacker Moussa Sissoko in 2016 as the record fee for a Championship player.

Other clubs including Southampton and ambitious promotion certs Wolves are also interested.

However given Maddison’s talent and potential, he is expected to join one of the Premier League’s bigger teams.
