Our man of the match: Middlesbrough (H)

Norwich City kept their 12th league clean sheet of the season on Saturday as they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at Carrow Road.

The Canaries won 1-0 away at Brentford last weekend and followed it up with another clean sheet and three points against Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough had to play the match with 10 men for the majority of the game after Rudy Gestede was shown a straight red for a challenge on Grant Hanley.

The forward had already been booked for kicking Alex Tettey in the head accidentally but was shown a straight red for a two-footed lunge on City defender Hanley.

It was announced before kick-off that Tom Trybull had signed a new contract with the club, and the German celebrated that news with a sublime goal from distance to hand City the lead.

Trybull smashed the ball into the top corner from 25-yards to secure the three points.

Picking a man of the match has been hard, with no one having a bad game against Boro.

Jamal Lewis and Timm Klose were in contention, but our Norwich man of the match against Middlesbrough is… Tom Trybull!

The German central midfielder controlled the play and bossed Middlesbrough left to right.

He was composed on the ball, tenacious in winning it back, and scored a screamer to top it all off.

This is all in his first match back from injury. What a performance!
