# Who was your man of the match? Arsenal (A)

Norwich City were knocked out of the League Cup by Arsenal – 2-1 – on Tuesday night at The Emirates.

Josh Murphy opened the scoring for Norwich in the first-half. James Maddison slotted an excellent ball through before Murphy clipped it over the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

Despite their stout defending at times, [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/) finally found their goal. Poor defending from a corner led to the home side converting as a near-post flick on was converted in the six-yard box.

The game then went into extra-time, with [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/) securing the win as Norwich were undone from another corner, this time a header from six-yards out.
