Norwich head coach Daniel Farke says that Nelson Oliveira has apologised to the squad after his emphatic celebration against Fulham.
The Canaries were 1-0 down to Fulham last week when Oliveira snatched a late point for Farke’s side.
Wes Hoolahan and Nelson Oliveira were both brought off the bench in the second half and combined to great effect to level the scores.
Hoolahan clipped a ball over the top to Oliveira, who held off the defender before finishing low into the back of the net.
Following his goal, Oliveira took his shirt off and pointed to his name right in front of Farke on the touchline.
He was subsequently left out of Norwich’s squad to face Swindon in the League Cup on Tuesday.
Farke says that his behaviour was unacceptable but that Nelson has a good heart and has said his apologies to the squad.
Speaking to the EDP, Farke said this:
For sure, Nelson knows he made a mistake. He apologised in front of the group and now for me the topic is finished. He has to prove it on the pitch, in the dressing room but for me it is finished.
