Oliveira not in talks with Wolves
Wolves are not in talks to sign Norwich City striker Nelson Oliveira, according to BBC Norfolk journalist Rob Butler.
Speculation arose on Friday morning that Wolves were closing in on the signing of Oliveira, with William Hill suspending betting on the move after they were told by a ‘trader’ that the deal was going through.
That has been put to bed by Butler, who claims no talks have taking place between the two clubs and that there is nothing in the rumour.
Twitter: I understand from both #ncfc and Wolves that no discussions have taken place about any potential Oliveira transfer. Nothing in that one. (@BobRutler)
Oliveira netted 15 goals in all competitions for Norwich last season, making him the club’s joint-top scorer alongside Cameron Jerome, although Oliveira only started 20 games.
The Portuguese international signed for Norwich from Benfica last summer for a fee in the region of £5m.
Norwich completed their seventh summer signing on Friday as they announced the arrival Marcel Franke.
