# Our man of the match: QPR (H)

Norwich City pulled the curtain down on a poor season with a 3-0 win over QPR at Carrow Road on Sunday.

The Canaries have finished the league season 8th in the Championship, on 70 points – five behind Leeds who finished 7th.

The game was given extra meaning due to it being the last game of John Ruddy’s Norwich career. He was made captain in his final Carrow Road bow before being released at the end of next month.

He was able to keep a clean sheet, and put in a solid performance, to end his career in Norwich colours on a high.

Wes Hoolahan was crowned the club’s player of the year before the match and, fittingly, scored the first and last goal of the game as he picked up man of the match as well.

Alex Pritchard and Josh Murphy scored the goals in between, as they both impressed in the midfield.

Picking a man of the match has been hard, with an inclination to go with Ruddy for sentiment sake.

But, I have gone for player of the season Wes Hoolahan.

Two goals and an assist for Wes to cap off another fine season in yellow and green as he now enters his tenth season for Norwich next term.

He was fantastic yet again and instrumental in every attack City had. Him and Pritchard are two of the best players in the division and they showed that against QPR.
