Pritchard not looking for excuses

Norwich City midfielder Alex Pritchard says he is not looking for excuses ahead of their trip to face Huddersfield Town tomorrow night.

Huddersfield sit third in the division coming into the game and will be aiming to make up further ground on the automatic promotion places. They are currently nine points bellow second-placed Brighton.

The Terriers have been flying this season under David Wagner with a number of notable wins, including a 2-1 win over Norwich back in December at Carrow Road.

But Norwich’s record in away games has been poor this season, which Pritchard is not looking to use as an excuse if they lose tomorrow.

Speaking to Norwich’s website, Pritchard said this:

A lot of things can happen in this league but time is ticking.

We can win big games like that. We haven’t done it this season and we’ve got ourselves to blame but we have to get on with it and go again.

With the squad we’ve got, we can go and win every game. We can’t look for excuses anymore. It doesn’t matter what we say, we have to show it now.

We’ve got to go there and disappoint them by doing what they did to us at home. If we do what we did at Aston Villa but take our chances you know what’s going to happen.

Norwich will be looking for revenge from that fixture as they look to make up points on the top-six. Alan Irvine’s side are seven points off Fulham in sixth and have a massive task as their hands coming into the final stretch of the season.

Irvine has some squad trouble coming into the game. Wes Hoolahan, Graham Dorrans, Mitchell Dijks and Ivo Pinto are likely to miss out through injury and suspension.
