# Our man of the match: Derby (A)

Norwich City were beaten – again – in the Championship today.

The Canaries lost for the sixth game in succession, also extending their run to seven games without a win.

They travelled to face Derby County – who ousted them 1-0 at Pride Park.

Norwich manager Alex Neil came into the game with his job under intense pressure – increasingly so now.

It was a cagey first half, with neither side really able to conjure a decent effort on goal.

However, Derby were finally able to break the deadlock in the 65th minute. And it was the former City player of the season Bradley Johnson who found the back of the net.

Johnson fired Derby ahead from 25-yards out past John Ruddy and that was enough to secure all three points for the home side.

It was enough dire performance that was bereft of ideas but I have to pick a man of the match…

There were only two players I could possibly pick; John Ruddy or Ryan Bennett. I’ve gone for Bennett…

The central defender – despite making the odd slip – was solid at the back and made a number of impressive tackles and blocks. He was good in the air – as always – and was the best of a bad bunch.
