# Our man of the match: MK Dons (EFL Trophy)

Norwich City progressed through to the last 32 of the EFL Trophy with a 100% record last night as they beat MK Dons 4-1 at Carrow Road.

This meant that Norwich finished the group top of the pile – with three wins out of three. Norwich beat Peterborough 6-1 and Barnet 5-0 in opening two fixtures.

Norwich won all three games and scored an incredible 15 goals in that time, only conceding twice.

Carlton Morris opened the scoring against MK Dons when he smashed the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Nelson Oliveira then added a second when Morris was pulled down in the penalty area as the Portuguese striker converted from the spot.

Oliveira scored his second of the match in the second half after he pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area.

Ebou Adams sealed off the scoring by smashing the ball home from 25-yards beyond the goalkeeper.

There were plenty of contenders for man of the match, with Sergi Canos, Ray Grant and Carlton Morris impressing.

Instead, I have gone for Oliveira as my man of the match.

The summer signing from Benfica scored twice and set-up Morris for the opening goal of the game.

This now means that Oliveira has scored four and assisted four in just four starts for Norwich this season. Although, Alex Neil is still opting to play Cameron Jerome up front in the league – who is without a goal in four starts.
