Our man of the match: Manchester City (H)
There are two ways you could look at today’s game; picking up a point against title contenders or extending an unbeaten run to 11 matches.
For me, it is the former. We had chances to win the match, most notably Graham Dorrans’ fantastic chance near the end that he shanked wide. Patrick Bamford also hit the crossbar in the first half.
However, a clean sheet against one of the best teams in the league shows a lot of encouragement for Norwich coming into the last eight matches. The central defensive pairing of Timm Klose and Ryan Bennett, one which has been called for for months, was rock solid.
There were plenty of good performers for Norwich; Jonny Howson, Gary O’Neil, Martin Olsson, Ryan Bennett, Patrick Bamford.
However, I have gone for the big man who is Timm Klose.
The Swiss international was absolutely sublime at the back. I said it last week and I stand by it; Klose is the best defender we have ever had in the Premier League era.
£9m from Wolfsburg is starting to look like a bargain right now, especially if he helps us to stay up. If we had Klose from the start of the season then I have no doubt that we would be far higher up the table.
Klose won every header, every tackle, made some fine blocks and read the game very well. The ball playing part of his game is also helping Norwich push higher up the pitch. What a signing he has been!
