According to reports, Inter Milan’s Italian central defender Andrea Ranocchia has rejected a move to Norwich City.
Norwich were thought to have had a bid in the region of £7m accepted for Ranocchia but it was well-known that the Italian international wanted to remain in Italy, with the option of a loan move to Bologna.
As well Bologna’s interest in him; Hellas Verona and AC Milan have also been linked with a move for the defender. However, Ranocchia has rejected Hellas Verona as well as Norwich and may not be keen on a move to AC Milan due to playing for their great rivals, Inter.
This is another name to add to the list of failed signings for Norwich, who tried throughout the summer to sign a central defender and failed. They appear to have already been shot down in their pursuit of their first-choice signing so will now have to look at targets elsewhere.
