# Mbokani deal imminent

[Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre/) are reporting that Diedonne Mbokani has flown into Norwich on a private jet to complete his medical in Norfolk.

Speculation amounted yesterday as reports suggested that Norwich had agreed a season long loan deal for the Congolese international.

[Sky Sport](https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre/)[s](https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre/) on the other hand are reporting that a deal for Mbokani would take a fee of around £5-6m, as opposed to the originally reported loan deal.

Mbokani has already played for a number of high profile clubs in Europe, such as Wolfsburg, Monaco and Anderlecht. However, the forward has been actively searching for a move to the Premier League as he is about to turn 30 in two months and is running out of time to get a chance to play in what is regarded as ‘the best league in the world’.

Norwich could be the perfect club for Mbokani. He fits the role of the lone striker and, so far, none of Norwich’s strikers have been able to score a Premier League goal in the opening four games of the season.

Norwich have been after a forward player for a number of weeks, if not months, now but look to have finally secured a signature, with an official conformation expected at some stage today. Mbokani is likely to occupy the vacant number 9 space in the Norwich squad.
