# Norwich reject snapped up by Liga Adelante side

Just a day after leaving Norwich by mutual consent, former Arsenal youngster Ignasi Miquel has joined Spanish side SD Ponferradina.

Revealed on twitter by [Sky Sports’ Guillem Balague](https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/626666108792229888), the 22 year old will join the Liga Adelante side, who finished 7th last season.

He was signed in the summer of 2014 by Neil Adams on a 3 year contract, with Adams obviously seeing him as a potential prospect. However, Miquel’s Norwich career never really took off. With only two appearances in the cup competitions last year against Shrewsbury and Preston. Both games ending in embarrassing defeats.

Things looked more promising for Miquel this season however, with Alex Neil giving the youngster game time in pre-season. These performances however have not been enough to impress the manager, and both club and player have agreed to terminate the contract.

I hope all Canaries fans will join me in wishing Miquel all the best in his new venture in Spain.
