Norwich City endured a difficult December, playing six Championship matches throughout the month.
Four of their six games were away from home, facing Cardiff, Burton, Birmingham and Leeds away from Carrow Road, whilst hosting Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday.
Three losses, two wins and a draw came of Norwich’s six games. The club beat Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham, lost to Cardiff, Brentford and Leeds, with a draw against Burton finishing off the month.
So far this season, we have had four player of the month awards – for August, September, October and November. Two players have shared the awards thus far.
James Maddison and Timm Klose have won two apiece, but who claims it for December?
Our player of the month for December netted one goal and set up a further two, featuring in all six matches – starting five of them.
He scored and assisted a goal against Sheffield Wednesday, also setting up Alex Pritchard for a goal in the win over Birmingham.
You guessed it, our Norwich player of the month for December is… James Maddison!
Maddison has now won three player of the month awards this season, out of a possible five.
The mercurial attacking midfielder has been a revelation this season and Norwich will be looking to keep hold of him during the January transfer window.
