Klose sympathises with Zimmermann following Sheffield Wednesday error
Norwich City defender Timm Klose has admitted that he knows exactly what his teammate, Christoph Zimmermann went through on the final day against Sheffield Wednesday, according to the EDP24.
On the final day of the season against the Owls, Zimmermann played a mishit back-pass which led to a goal in the Canaries’ 5-1 loss on Sunday.
Zimmermann’s form this season has been impressive, however, with the Norwich faithful taking to the German throughout the campaign.
Klose has gone through some similarly testing times since he joined the club but has assured Zimmermann that he will bounce back.
The Norfolk club’s campaign was a very inconsistent one to say the least, with Daniel Farke’s men finding it tough to string together a run of form.
There have been some impressive performances but on the whole, it’s been an incredibly tough season for everyone involved with the club, with Norwich forced to settle for mediocrity.
Klose backed his teammate to respond after the mistake and admitted that he knows how Zimmermann will be feeling:
You think he wanted to do it on purpose? No chance. And especially for him as well, sometimes in football you forget where people have come from.
He came from the fourth tier of German football and he has played an unbelievable season, for me. He was brilliant.
