Norwich City defender Russell Martin has opened up about his desire to stay at Rangers beyond his current loan deal.
Martin says that he wants to stay at Rangers, hinting at an exit from Norwich at the end of the season.
The Scottish defender is on loan at Rangers after he was pushed out of the Norwich side by head coach Daniel Farke.
Martin’s poor performances over the past few seasons saw him dropped out of the matchday squad, with the likes of Christoph Zimmermann and Grant Hanley vastly outperforming him.

He completed his move to Rangers in January and is already loving life in Scotland and hoping to make it permanent.
As quoted by the EDP, Martin said this:
I’ve made it known I want to stay so I will have to keep doing well enough to make sure that happens.
I want to be here and there’s still a lot to play for. We have the cup and we need to finish second in the league, it’s as simple as that. We need to try to haul the points back, and I’m enjoying everything about being at the football club.
His contract expires at the end of next season and Rangers could snap him up for a cut-price fee.
