Norwich City travel to face Barnsley in the Championship on Tuesday in the rearranged fixture.
The Canaries were due to play Barnsley last weekend at Oakwell, but the game was called off due to severe weather conditions.
The snow has since calmed down, but Norwich’s schedule has not. Norwich were held by Nottingham Forest last Tuesday, lost to Hull 4-3 on Saturday, and now play Barnsley this coming Tuesday.
Norwich then host Reading at home next Saturday, before a two-week international break, after which they play Fulham at Carrow Road.
Daniel Farke will be looking for a good response from his team, following the 4-3 loss to Hull. Norwich were 3-1 up in the first-half before Hull were awarded two penalties and then scored a late winner.
Farke is expected to make a number of changes from the loss to Hull, with some players in need of a rest.
Here is how we expect Norwich to line-up against Barnsley.
Angus Gunn
Undisputed number one. Made some excellent saves against Hull.
Ivo Pinto
Back fit and should start in order for Harrison Reed to be utilised elsewhere.
Grant Hanley
His worst performance of the season against Hull, but is still a reliable performer and should be given the benefit of the doubt for a one-off game.
Christoph Zimmermann
Assuming he is back fit, Zimmermann has to start. He was sorely missed against Hull and needs to come back.
Timm Klose
Klose has been shaky the last few games in a back four, so switching back to a three would help him.
Jamal Lewis
One of his worst performances so far against Hull, but he is undoubtedly better than James Husband.
Mario Vrancic
Vrancic has been unfortunate to not start of late, given his form earlier this year. He is one of our most creative midfielders and deserves a chance.
Harrison Reed
Assuming Moritz Leitner is out, I would pick Reed. Tettey is one yellow card away from a ban, and in poor form anyway. Reed has been impressive of late.
James Maddison
No need to explain this decision…
Onel Hernandez
Set-up James Maddison for two of his three goals against Hull. Deserves his place in the team.
Dennis Srbeny
Give Nelson a rest after his hard-working display against Hull and allows Srbeny to get more minutes under his belt before bringing Nelson on in the final stages.
