Norwich City have confirmed the sale of winger Glenn Middleton to Scottish giants Rangers.
Middleton has joined Rangers on a permanent contract and is expected to go into their first-team squad.
In the statement, Norwich claim that Middleton was in search of first-team football, with that being the reason for the switch.
Middleton has been seen as one of Norwich’s most promising youngsters for a few years now, lighting up the under-23 side from a young age.
At 18-years-old, a permanent switch instead of a loan does seem odd for Middleton, with no mention of how much Rangers are paying for him.
Rangers signed Russell Martin on loan from Norwich earlier in the window, and Graham Dorrans on a permanent last summer.
Norwich are not expected to make any signings on deadline day.
