Norwich City youngster Todd Cantwell has completed a loan move to Dutch side Fortuna Sittard until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.

Cantwell is held in high esteem by those at Carrow Road and it is believed that the decision to loan him out is in order for the prospect to gain valuable first-team experience elsewhere.

The playmaker has been tipped for big things at Norwich but with Daniel Farke strengthening his squad with attacking midfield options in the January transfer window, a decision has been made to temporarily move Cantwell on in aid of his development.

Fortuna Sittard play in the second tier of Dutch football and the Canaries will hope that Cantwell can refine his game during the short-term loan spell.

Cantwell has netted seven goals for Norwich’s Under-23 side this season.
