No Doncaster return for Harry Toffolo
Doncaster Rovers manager Darren Ferguson has ruled out a move for Norwich City’s left back Harry Toffolo, who has been on loan at the League One side, according to the Doncaster Free Press.
Toffolo was on a season-long loan from Carrow Road but has had his loan cut short after breaking his foot.
Ferguson told the media that a deal is not an option for Doncaster.
No, he (Toffolo) won’t be coming back.
Ferguson, son of managerial legend Sir Alex Ferguson, is expected to sign Sheffield United midfielder Ben Whiteman and Finn Harps defender Shane Blaney during this transfer window.
During his time at the Keepmoat Stadium, he has played his part in helping Rovers to 11th place, just seven points off the promotion spots.
But while he recovers from his recent injury picked up in Doncaster, he will be back with the Canaries and could be looking for game time at Carrow Road at a higher level after his impressive performances in League One.
