Birmingham manager Steve Cotterill has played down speculation linking his side with Norwich striker Cameron Jerome.
According to Wales Online, Birmingham are lining up an offer for the centre-forward, with Cardiff also keen.
Cardiff, Derby and Sunderland are all touted with an interest in Jerome, as he looks set to leave Norwich this month.
Reports claim that Jerome is free to leave Norwich, with his role currently as a bench warmer.
As quoted by The Pink’un, Cotterill said this:
I would imagine there is probably a lot of clubs linked with Cameron Jerome at this moment in time.
But I don’t talk about players that are other clubs’ unless the deal is done and they end up being our player. I wouldn’t disrespect Norwich or any other club.
Nelson Oliveira is Daniel Farke’s preferred choice up front. The Portuguese forward has scored seven Championship goals this term, compared to Jerome’s one.
Jerome played over 200 games for Birmingham earlier in his career, scoring 42 goals for the club.
The Englishman enjoyed the best season of his career at Birmingham, when he scored 11 Premier League goals in the 2009-10 season.
Jerome has scored 42 goals for Norwich since joining the club in 2014 from Stoke City– with this being his fourth season at the club.
