Norwich City midfielder James Maddison says that he is not focusing on transfer talk ahead of the January transfer window.
Maddison has been in superb form for Norwich this season, and has already been linked with a Premier League move.
Everton have been touted with an interest in the playmaker in recent weeks, with speculation expected to continue in January.
The England under-21 international scored his sixth goal of the season last weekend as Norwich beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 at Carrow Road.
Maddison scored the only goal of Norwich’s derby win against Ipswich, as well as scoring crucial goals against Preston, Middlesbrough and Reading.
Adding on to his six goals, Maddison has also registered six assists this season, having been given his chance by Daniel Farke.
Speaking to The EDP about transfer speculation, Maddison said this:
We hadn’t won a game in eight (before Saturday) – so January is the last thing on my mind to be honest.
I’m just focusing on putting in a good run of performances.
This is my first run of games in the Championship. I’m not looking too far ahead and I’ll just keep focusing on my form for Norwich.
I’ve always said I’ve known I’ve got the ability and I’m a confident boy. I know I’ve got the ability to go and make it happen.
It’s just about getting that opportunity and taking it, which I have done so far.
