Diallang Jaiyesimi signs new contract at Norwich
Norwich City winger Diallang Jaiyesimi has signed a new deal, which will keep the youngster at the club until 2020, with the option of a further year, the club’s website state.
Jaiyesimi, 19, joined the Canaries from non-league side Dulwich Hamlet in 2016 and has impressed with the Under 23 side last season, where he scored eight times in 33 appearances.
The winger is currently on loan at Sky Bet League 2 side Grimsby Town, where he has already made 15 appearances in all competitions, mainly from the bench.
The teenager has started two Checkatrade Trophy games for the Mariners, scoring his first senior goal in the process against Scunthorpe United in October.
Talking to the club website, Jaiyesimi expressed his delight about penning a new deal with the Canaries:
I’m pleased and grateful. The Club have shown lots of faith in me and it makes me feel very good. I want to repay that faith they’ve shown to me now and hopefully continue to improve and get better.
The wide man will be hoping to force his way into manager Russell Slade’s league side in the coming weeks ahead of a busy Christmas period.
