Norwich player ratings: Ipswich (A)
Norwich City moved up into the play-off positions with a 1-0 win over Ipswich on Sunday.
The Canaries now sit sixth in the table after claiming the three points in the East Anglian derby, in which they are now nine games unbeaten.
Daniel Farke’s side are also now nine games unbeaten in all competitions this season, having not lost since the 4-0 drubbing to Millwall at the end of August.
Angus Gunn kept his seventh clean sheet of the Championship season. He has now kept more shut-outs than any other goalkeeper in the division.
Ipswich looked the better side in the first-half and came within inches of opening the scoring. Ivo Pinto gave the ball away in the box but Jonas Knudsen’s strike crashed against the post.
The eventual winner came midway through the second-half, with James Maddison scoring his fourth goal of the season.
Marco Stiepermann did well on the left to cut the ball back to Maddison in the box, who opened his body up and curled a superb strike into the far right corner.
