Norwich City have completed the signing of Pierre Fonkeu from Club Brugge for an undisclosed fee.

The club have confirmed that Fonkeu has signed a two-year deal with the club following a successful trial.

Fonkeu spent the summer with Norwich’s under-23 squad and impressed whilst on tour in Germany, scoring a couple of goals.

He has been unable to play in league fixtures at the start of this season due to the deal not going through until today.

The striker will now be able to settle in and find his rhythm in a Norwich shirt, to start banging in the goals for the under-23’s and help force his way into the first-team set-up.

Fonkeu was reportedly eyed up by Premier League clubs this summer, but Norwich moved quickly to bring him into the club on trial.

He also becomes Norwich’s first deadline day signing, and possibly the last, with no further signings expected before the deadline at 11pm tonight.
