Norwich City are said to value winger Jacob Murphy at £16m, amid interest from Newcastle United.

According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Norwich have already rejected one offer from the Toon, thought to be in the region of £8m.

The Canaries have told Newcastle that they will have to double that if they want to stand a chance at landing Murphy.

Norwich are unwilling to sell Murphy this summer, who is one of the club’s top players.

The report does claim that Murphy would be interested in talking to Newcastle about a potential move, with him and his brother Josh Newcastle fans growing up.

Murphy has four years left on his contract after signing a new long-term deal last season.

The England under-21 international is due to return to training with Norwich next week but was in attendance at Lowestoft to watch his side win 5-1 on Saturday.

Premier League clubs Southampton, Crystal Palace and Swansea are all also said to be keen.
