Norwich’s Championship rivals Birmingham have registered an interest in former loanee Mitchell Dijks.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Harry Redknapp is keen to bring him into the Blues side to strengthen their defence.
Birmingham have signed David Stockdale on a free transfer from Premier League side Brighton this summer.
Dijks spent the second half of last season on loan to Norwich from Dutch giants Ajax.
The left-back played 15 games for the club, scoring once, but will not be a Norwich player next season.
Norwich had an option in his loan to sign Dijks for £4m but released a statement announcing that they were unable to strike a deal with the player – with the club strapped for cash this summer.
The Canaries have already made four signings this summer but have only spent £650k, which all went on Mario Vrancic.
Angus Gunn has joined on loan, with Marley Watkins and Christoph Zimmerman signing on free transfers.
