Norwich City will appoint Daniel Farke as their new head coach this week, according to John Percy.

Telegraph journalist John Percy has revealed that Norwich will be appointing the manager of Borussia Dortmund II’s team, Daniel Farke.

This confirms reports that sporting director Stuart Webber was on the lookout for a German manager, as he follows the same path he took to take David Wagner to Huddersfield.

Farke replaced Wagner as Dortmund II’s manager when Huddersfield snatched him two years ago, with Webber back to bring Farke to Norwich.

The 40-year-old led his side to a 2nd-placed finish this season, impressing the powers that be at Carrow Road.

He will become the first foreign boss Norwich have ever had in their history, and will be tasked with gaining promotion to the Premier League in his first Championship job.

The Telegraph have also revealed that Farke rejected the chance to join Darmstadt in the Bundesliga, and will be bringing his own backroom staff with him to Norwich.
