Norwich place Carvalhal top of shortlist
Norwich City have placed Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal top of their managerial shortlist.
According to The Daily Mail, Carvalhal’s future at Wednesday is uncertain and he could be allowed to leave the club this summer.
His side lost to Huddersfield on penalties in the play-off semi-final second leg on Wednesday night, ending hopes of promotion to the Premier League.
Carvalhal led Wednesday to the play-off final at the end of last season, but lost to Hull City in the final.
The report claims that Norwich have made Carvalhal their number one target as they look to appoint a head coach for next season.
Sporting director Stuart Webber has said that he expects an appointment by the end of the month, and this report seems to indicate that Carvalhal could be just the man for the job.
However, Portuguese giants Porto are also said to be monitoring the situation as they contemplate a move.
