Leeds United’s interest in Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson has been played down after recent speculation linking him with a move.
Howson was, yesterday, linked with a move back to Leeds – where he started his career. TeamTalk claimed that they were preparing a £4m bid for the midfielder.
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay, however, has played down talk of the switch.

Howson played 38 Championship matches for Norwich this season, scoring six goals and registering seven assists.
The midfielder also captained the Canaries on several occasions and was captain of Leeds before he joined Norwich for £2m in January 2012.
Brighton and Burnley have also been linked with Howson, but there have been no further developments on their interest going into the summer as of yet.
