Watkins agrees contract with Norwich
Barnsley winger Marley Watkins has agreed a contract with Norwich City, as reported by TeamTalk.
The report claims that Watkins has agreed terms on a three-year deal with the club and that the signing could be announced before the weekend.
Watkins’ contract with Barnsley expires at the end of next month, which would mean he would only be able to officially sign for the club on July 1st.
TeamTalk also claim that Norwich will be announcing their head coach soon, with it thought to be a German boss. Uwe Rosler and David Wagner have both been linked with the vacant position.
Watkins had an impressive season for Barnsley in the Championship. The 26-year-old scored ten goals and registered nine assists.
The former Inverness forward was also in talks with Cardiff City but has decided to join Norwich over their Welsh Championship rivals.
TeamTalk have also claimed Leeds are set to bid £4m for Jonny Howson, although many would argue they would have to pay far in excess of that figure to secure his signature.
