Norwich’s City faint hopes of a play-off place are all but gone now after another defeat on Friday.

The Canaries were beaten 3-1 by Fulham, leaving them ten points behind the Cottagers and 12 points off the play-offs.

In order for Norwich to reach the play-offs, they would need to win all of their remaining games and need the teams above them to lose all of their matches, whilst increasing their goal difference considerably.

Fulham took the lead after just five minutes. The ball broke on the edge of the box and Stefan Johanssen struck it into the bottom corner with aplomb.

Ex-Norwich striker Chris Martin was then sent off for Fulham when he was adjudged to have elbowed Mitchell Dijks in the 45th minute.

Ryan Bennett came on for the injured Timm Klose at half-time and within two minutes he gave away a penalty for a blatant push in the box. Tom Cairney scored from the spot.

Cameron Jerome scored a consolation goal for City before Ayite rounded off the scoring for Fulham.
