Norwich City found themselves on the wrong side of another footballing lesson as they lost 3-1 to ten-man Fulham at Carrow Road.

In order for Norwich to now reach the play-offs, they would need to win all of their remaining games and need the teams above them to lose all of their matches, whilst increasing their goal difference considerably.

Fulham took the lead after just five minutes. The ball broke on the edge of the box and Stefan Johanssen struck it into the bottom corner with aplomb.

Ex-Norwich striker Chris Martin was then sent off for Fulham when he was adjudged to have elbowed Mitchell Dijks in the 45th minute.

Ryan Bennett came on for the injured Timm Klose at half-time and within two minutes he gave away a penalty for a blatant push in the box. Tom Cairney scored from the spot.

Cameron Jerome scored a consolation goal for City before Ayite rounded off the scoring for Fulham.

Picking a man of the match for Norwich has been very easy. There was only one man who stood out; Alex Pritchard.

It has been Pritchard’s month so far, with this being his fourth man of the match award already – making him a shoe-in for player of the month.

He was quick on the ball, found pockets of space and worked hard defensively. He whipped in some superb crosses, with one resulting in Jerome’s goal, and was easily the best player on the pitch for Norwich.
