Norwich’s season looks to be over, with the playoffs a distant dream. Norwich are currently managerless, but one thing that is clear is that the next man at the helm will have big decisions to make with regard to the future of a number of Norwich’s players.
Hours before his sacking, Alex Neil signalled that deadwood required clearing from the club, and was ruthless in his assessment of some of his players. Whilst he may no longer be in charge, his comments will be hard to ignore for the next manager, who may have to action on some of Neil’s plans.
We have compiled a list of players who’s Norwich future hangs in the balance, and will have to work to solidify it before the end of the season.

John Ruddy
Norwich’s long-term number one has been dropped by Alan Irvine in favour of Michael McGovern.
Could his Norwich career finally be at an end?
Russell Martin
Russ is an excellent speaker, a passionate player and he loves Norwich.
However, on the pitch, he has been below par on numerous occasions and could face the axe.
Steven Whittaker
Stevie Whitts, an enigma, a legend.
He’s just terrible, poor bloke. Someone signed off on a contract extension for him, but it’s likely he could be leaving in the summer unless he suddenly becomes Roberto Carlos.
Kyle Lafferty
Lafferty has just never really found his footing. He fell below Carlton Morris in the pecking order at a period and looks set to leave the club.
Alex Tettey
Alex Tettey is getting on, and Norwich need more than a walking yellow card and a tough tackler.
Tettey has been a good player for City, but it could be time to go.
Timm Klose
Klose has struggled this season, dropping out of the team on numerous occasions.
He has already signalled that he is considering his future, and he is far more of a player than a third-choice Championship centre-back.
Ryan Bennett
RyBen has found some game time this season, but much like his Norwich career, on the whole, he can’t cement his place.
Could Bennett’s five-year Norwich career finally be over?
Steven Naismith
Naismith has shown moments of utter brilliance, but they are twinned with moments of utter rubbish.
He’s a marmite character with fans, some despise him and his attitude, and some feel that he is a fantastic playmaker.
If he can’t prove the latter before the summer, he may be heading away from Carrow Road.
