Norwich City endured a frustrating March in the Championship as they won just one of four matches.

The Canaries started the month in horrible circumstances as they lost 5-1 to promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Draws against Bristol City and Blackburn followed, with Norwich ending the month with a 2-0 win over Barnsley at Carrow Road.

As you may, or may not, know, we give out a player of the month award each month of the season. This is given to the player with the most man of the match awards during the month.

This month we have had a clear winner, with this player having won man of the match in two of the four matches.

Michael McGovern and Ryan Bennett each won one each. But our Norwich player of the month for March is… Jonny Howson!

The ever-impressive central midfielder was man of the match against Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn, earning him the accolade.

Howson has been superb all season for Norwich and arguably the club’s most important and consistent player.

Many have called for Howson to be made captain of the club, which may finally come true in the summer.
