Norwich City caretaker manager Alan Irvine has handed out the latest squad news ahead of his side’s clash with Barnsley at Carrow Road tomorrow.
Irvine started with some good news for City fans. Graham Dorrans, who has been out since boxing day, has been training and will be in contention to start.
Dorrans suffered ligament damage against Reading back in December and has been working his way back to fitness over the last few weeks.
Nelson Oliveira will be hoping to get some involvement too as he comes back from his foot injury.
Speaking to Norwich’s website, Irvine said this:
Nelson has had a full week of training and has trained well, as has Graham.
The Scot has also confirmed that Timm Klose will return to the squad after a back injury ruled him out of the last two matches.
Timm’s trained all week and is fine so will be in contention as well. That’s certainly something for us to take into consideration.
We’ll take as much time as we need to finalise the squad, based upon information we get from the medical team.
Mitchell Dijks is suspended after his red card against Blackburn last week. Louis Thompson is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Steven Whittaker is likely to be Dijks’ replacement in the side.
