Leeds looking for Canos loan, unable to meet valuation
Leeds United are looking to take Norwich winger Sergi Canos on loan, as they are unable to match his valuation.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds do not have the money to afford to sign Canos on a permanent deal – with Norwich wanting in excess of the £2.5m they paid for the winger.
Leeds want to sign Canos on a loan deal until the end of the season but Norwich are only willing to let him leave the club on a permanent basis.
This is due to Norwich’s current lack of cash influx. The club have run out of money to spend and need to sell this month to balance the books and be able to invest in the squad.
Brentford now look most likely to sign Canos, as they prepare to sell Scott Hogan to West Ham for £12m.
This will give them enough money to match Norwich’s £3m valuation of Canos, thus ruling Leeds out of the running.
