Norwich City are one of three sides who have made an approach to Manchester United about the possibility of taking goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The 23-year-old looked set to seal a loan move to Aston Villa but with no deal being finalised, Norwich, Wigan Athletic and Bristol City have apparently contacted the Premier League side about his availability.
United want to send Johnstone out on loan to get game time as he’s currently behind both David de Gea and Sergio Romero in the pecking order, so they’ll likely want to send him somewhere where he will play games.

Whether he would get that chance at Villa is still up in the air, but Alex Neil, if the approach is accurate, would need to give United assurances that Johnstone would get game time. The odds on a move are good with a Sky Vegas promo code.
Norwich fans seem to be split on the current goalkeeper situation and if Neil isn’t confident in any of his current options, getting Johnstone on loan could be a possible solution.
