Aston Villa 1-2 Norwich: Rating the Canaries (under-23)
Norwich’s under-23’s got back to winning ways tonight with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
The match was played at Villa Park, with the home side looking to make the most of playing at the senior side’s ground.
However, it was Norwich who stole the show as they swept the young villains aside and claimed all three points in Birmingham.
Norwich took the lead after just 13 minutes when young winger Glenn Middleton found the top corner.
Villa did equalise just before half-time when their forward tapped home on the line after a decent stop from City ‘keeper Ben Killip.
Carlton Morris then won the game for City in the second half when he slotted home after an excellent run from Middleton down the left gave him the simplest of tasks to finish.
