Wells: I am happy here
Huddersfield striker Nahki Wells has claimed that he is happy at Huddersfield, despite speculation linking him with a move to Norwich.
According to the Yorkshire Post, Norwich were scouting Nahki Wells yesterday as Huddersfield beat Barnsley 2-1.
The report says that scouts were in attendance to watch Wells, with Aston Villa also thought to be one of the sides interested.
Wells is though to be valued at £8m, a fee that is more than affordable for Norwich, who saw a £10m bid for Ross McCormack turned down earlier this summer.
With only ten days left in the transfer window, Norwich will be looking to get a deal done as soon as possible, with Wells seen as one of the most realistic targets at this stage of the window
However, Wells has now spoken to the Examiner about his future, claiming that he is not distracted by the talk and is focused on Huddersfield.
I am happy here.
It’s just typical speculation. Clubs are always looking at the players they think have done well, but I am focused on Huddersfield.
I am focused on playing my part and trying to score goals and I won’t let any talk outside the club bother me.
