Besiktas interested in Norwich defender
According to Turkish news outlet Sporx, Besiktas are taking an interest in Norwich City left-back Martin Olsson this summer.
Besiktas are thought to see Manchester City’s Aleksandar Kolarov as their main target for the position this summer, but Olsson is being considered as an option. Olsson is their back-up transfer choice.
It is thought that the Turkish club have been very impressed with Olsson at the European Championships this summer. Although Olsson’s Sweden have been knocked out of the competition already, Olsson played very well in his three group stage matches for his country.
Olsson could be looking for a way out of Norwich following the club’s relegation to the Championship. Norwich finished 19th in the Premier League last season, which is sure to lead to want-away stars.
The Swedish international is also in the last year of his Norwich contract, which means Norwich may have to cash in to avoid losing him on a free next season.
