Following the turmoil on and off the pitch at Carrow Road over the last few months, recently released Norwich youth player Adel Gafaiti has slammed those running club and labelled them ‘bad non football’ people.

The Algerian defender was one of the many youth and senior players to be released by the club at the end of the season, and took to twitter to express his true feelings for the Championship club now they are no longer his employer.

In tweets which were swiftly deleted by the former Rangers man, Gafaiti said:

“Wish nothing but the best to @NorwichCityFC, I feel bad for the fans tho, wish you guys could really know what happens inside this club”

The shady first tweet was quickly followed by a much more explicit message about those running the club.

“@NorwichCityFC Managed by so many bad non football guys that don’t know how to manage the club and their players 1st team and youths included”.

It seems more than a coincidence that this has come just months following the appointment of former MP Ed Balls and Tom Smith, Delia’s nephew, to the Norwich board. As we all know, Norwich were soon relegated following their arrival.

Poor club management has never been far away from Carrow Road, with the handling of Grant Holt’s last contract at the club, the appointment of Neil Adams and failure to spend enough or spend correctly raising questions at the competence of those behind the scenes.

While affairs at boardroom level often appear secondary to those on the pitch, it raises serious concerns for the long term future of the club.

Are you worried?

Yes

Balls couldn’t hold a safe Labour seat let alone run a football club.

No

Delia will always see us through eventually, have faith.
