Norwich looking to sign Chelsea striker
According to Tudo Mecato Web, Norwich City are interested in signing Patrick Bamford on a permanent deal from Chelsea this summer.
Bamford spent the second half of the season just gone with the Canaries, although was unable to score a goal for the club. Norwich finished 19th in the Premier League, being relegated to the Championship.
The 22-year-old striker was only able to start two matches, with a reoccurring back injury limiting his chances towards the end of the season. However, Alex Neil clearly saw something in the forward that he liked and would be keen to bring him back for next season.
Bamford was named Championship player of the season with Middlesbrough in 2014/15, as he showed his class in the Championship. Norwich will be looking to go straight back up to the Premier League and Bamford’s proven pedigree in the league could be key to this.
It is unknown as to what sort of fee Chelsea would want for Bamford.
