Klose omitted from Euros squad
Norwich City central defender Timm Klose has been omitted from Switzerland’s provisional squad for the European Championships this summer.
Klose has not been named in Switzerland’s squad ahead of the tournament this summer, which he will be very disappointed with. He joined Norwich to gain more game-time ahead of the competition, but his injury whilst playing for the club has now prevented him from going.
The 28-year-old joined Norwich in January from Wolfsburg for £9.1m and there has been concerns over his future following the club’s relegation to the Championship for next season.
Klose only played ten matches for the club in the Premier League, but was immense in the games that he did play and sealed himself onto the hearts of all Norwich fans.
The Swiss defender picked up his injury against Crystal Palace, damaging his knee ligaments in a challenge with Dwight Gayle. The injury ruled him out for the rest of the season and was a major factor in Norwich’s relegation.
With his injury ruling him out of the Euros, it could see him stay at Norwich for the upcoming season.
