Norwich manager Alex Neil has handed out the latest squad news ahead of Norwich’s massive match against Watford tomorrow night.
First of all, some good news. Ryan Bennett is back in the squad for the game, having missed the last couple with illness. Norwich have lacked his presence at the back and he will be a welcome return.
Speaking to Norwich’s website, Neil said this about Bennett:
Ryan will be in the squad for the game.
We’ve had to make do without Ryan for the past couple of games which has been disappointing which has limited us to the fact there wasn’t a choice at centre back as we only had two players fit.

However, there is also some crushing news. Jonny Howson will be out of action for six to eight weeks, meaning that he will the last two matches of the season. He was taken off against Manchester United with a knee injury, which Neil now knows the extent of.
Jonny has had a scan and he’s got a grade two ligament strain which means he will be out for six to eight weeks.
It’s really disappointing for us and for him, because his performance levels over the course of the season have been consistently high.
We’ve got guys who can replace him and fill in for Jonny and it’ll be an opportunity for those to come in and stake a claim
Alex Neil is already without Alex Tettey, Andre Wisdom and Timm Klose, who have all been ruled out for the season with injuries also. Tettey has been more long-term, whereas Wisdom and Klose are more recent blows.
