Our man of the match: Crystal Palace (A)
Norwich lost 1-0 today away at Crystal Palace. Jason Puncheon’s second-half strike was the only moment of class in a game of poor quality.
Neither side showed any sort of Premier League class, asides from the goal, at any point during the match. It was a fairly dull affair, with a lack of highlights.
Good performances were few and far between for Norwich players today and there were only three players that could really have a claim for our man of the match award; Andre Wisdom, Ryan Bennett and Jonny Howson.
I have gone for Jonny Howson.
In a game that lacked any real quality, Howson actually looked quality, oddly enough. He drove forward from midfield on a number of occasions but his teammates failed to capitalise on the chances he created.
He won a number of balls in the middle of the park and was a composed head throughout the match. He has been Norwich’s player of the season for me and put in another respectable performance, despite the result not going our way.
