Norwich take promising Finnish goalkeeper on trial
Norwich have reportedly taken 16-year-old goalkeeper Otto Huuhtanen on trial as they mull over a deal for the shot-stopper.
Huuhtanen currently plays for Ilves, in the top Finnish league. He has featured for Finland’s u16 team and is highly rated in Finland as an up and coming young goalkeeper.
He has been invited by Norwich to come and train with the academy for a week for them to see how good he is and determine whether or not they want to sign him.
Norwich manager Alex Neil has already shown that he wants to sign talent for the future. The Scottish manager has already signed Ben Godfrey, Ebou Adams, Arinse Uade and James Maddison for the future at Norwich and Huuhtanen could add his name to the list.
If the 16-year-old impresses during his trial then it is highly likely that the man from Finland will sign for the club and join the academy.
