According to the Birmingham Mail, both Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Norwich striker Kyle Lafferty on an emergency loan.

The striker is thought to be very keen on a move away from Carrow Road due to his severe lack of game time for the club. Lafferty has a huge European Championships campaign ahead of him in the summer for Northern Ireland and needs to get as match-fit as possible during the end of season run-in.

Both Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday are thought to be fighting it out for his signature, with Leeds having been linked with the forward on a number of occasions.

Lafferty joined Norwich almost two years ago from Palermo but has played a meagre 19 league matches and scored just the one league goal. Norwich boss Alex Neil looks reluctant to give the forward a chance and a loan move to the Championship looks like his best option at present.
